"... And So It Begins"
A new life for this fawn began just minutes before the shot. I stumbled upon momma doe and baby in my backyard as I emerged from my basement door headed to the studio. This photo is available as a Fine Art Limited Edition Print. It was titled in remembrance of Ellie Lincoln who died just 4 months short of her 2nd birthday. The Lincoln family, proprietors of Willow Creek Restaurant in Evergreen Colorado, were given the honor of naming the photo coinciding with Ellie's birthday and "Ellie's Evening", a annual event benefiting Mt. Evans Home Health & Hospice.
Mystical Sunrise - As the sun begins to rise, "Mesa Arch" beckons you closer with it's mysterious glow. Now, almost paralyzed not wanting to miss a moment with your eyes fixed on the expansive scene, you realize the day is upon you with more power and brilliance than ever imagined.
This unique view was also treated to very clear air, new fallen snow, and a falling star.

Sunset Firestorm
"Sunset Firestorm" shot in the Badlands, South Dakota. Once this thunderstorm receded I was treated with a spectacular display of color and nature. The orange/red hue is due the smoke particulate filled atmosphere lingering from a summer of wild fires in the American West.
